Starting Lineup:

  • Alyssa Naeher will earn cap No.52 today and is closing in on the third most caps for any WNT goalkeeper.  She is currently behind third-place Nicole Barnhart (54). She has 28 career shutouts, with the most recent one coming vs. Sweden on June 20.

  • Kelley O’Hara will make her 11th appearance of 2019 and earn cap No. 123. She has started every match she’s played in this year and played every minute of four games at the World Cup. She has 16 career assists to go along with two goals, one of which was scored in the 2015 World Cup semifinal vs. Germany.

  • Abby Dahlkemper earns cap No. 46 today.She has started 41 of her 46 caps and played her first World Cup match on June 11 vs. Thailand. She has played the most minutes of any U.S. player through the first four WWC games with 442.

  • Becky Sauerbrunn will earn cap No. 163 today. She was held out of the World Cup opener on June 11 due to a minor quad issue but returned to play all 90 minutes in every match after that.

  • Crystal Dunn has 24 career international goals and will earn cap No. 90 today. 

  • Julie Ertz will reach 87 caps today. She currently has 19 international goals, the most recent coming against Chile on June 16, which was her first World Cup goal.

  • Lindsey Horan made her World Cup debut against Thailand and scored her first World Cup goal. She scored against Sweden on June 20, her second World Cup goal which was the quickest of the tournament to that point when she tallied in the 3rd minute. She now has 10 career goals and will make her 74th international appearance today.

  • Rose Lavelle made her World Cup debut on June 11 and scored twice against Thailand, her second career brace.  She now has 31 caps – with 26 starts – and nine goals.

  • Tobin Heath comes into the game with 30 career international goals and will make her 155th international appearance today. Heath has 12 goals in her last 22 matches and 10 in her last 17.

  • Alex Morgan had a game for the ages against Thailand in the USA’s opening game of the World Cup, tying a World Cup record with five goals while adding three assists. The five scores upped her career total to 106 and she is now within one goal of tying Michelle Akers for fifth on the USA's all-time goals list. Morgan has scored 33 goals over her last 39 WNT matches, a span that runs from the end of 2017. Morgan has scored in 72 career games for the USA and in those matches, the U.S. team has never lost, going 62-0-10. Morgan will captain the USA today.

  • Christen Press will earn her 122nd career cap today and has scored 48 career goals and recorded 30 career assists. She also leads the USA in assists this year with seven. She is tied for 11th place on the all-time WNT goals list.

  • Dahlkemper and Naeher are the only two players on the U.S. roster to have started all six games of this World Cup.
